Bringing Words to Life

Coburn Free Library is a public library in Owego. It was founded in 1912 in an effort to enrich the Owego community with knowledge. Our permanent collection of media sources complements the community on a variety of subjects.

Coburn Free Library also houses an administrative office and various public gathering areas that can be used for public events. Our goal is to create an environment where visitors are not merely spectators but active participants – a place where words and knowledge comes to life.

The board of the Coburn Free Library meets the second Friday of each month at 1:30pm upstairs in the Coburn Library.

Permanent Collection

Coburn Free Library boasts an extensive collection of books and other forms of media by various authors for the ever channging collection.
